Backpack Mod
By DoomSoaker

Very Early Backpack Mod

If you don't know already, this mod creates a backpack for your Super Soaker, Storm or any other water weapon of that class. In my one, it held about 5 gallons, and with me pumping out 30X constantly on my CPS 2700 with the 30X Power Mod, I would last about 15 minutes with out refilling. And that's shooting and pumping as fast as I can!

Legal Info

By performing anything in this article, no one, except yourself takes any responsibility for anything occuring at the same time or after you performed anything in this article. Basically, don't blame anyone but yourself if you somehow do something screwed by making this mod.

Materials

A Trash Bag, preferably a good strong one
Parts to the top of a Milk Jug, or similar bottle. NO GLASS!!!*
Scissors
2 Liter Bottle cap or hose attachemnt**
3-5 feet of 3/8 inch rubber tubing
A Backpack, preferably a frame one.***
Duct Tape
A rubber ball, tennis ball sized****
A Soaker(duh!)
Some strong glue, like epoxy
OPTIONAL

3 Blue things from a 2.5 gallon bottle*****
One beige thing from a 2.5 gallon bottle*****

*Glass could rip the bag containing the water. 2 Littler bottle tops are too small to do this job. I used a grape juice bottle top. Please use a threaded cap.

**This is part of the device that fills it. A 2 liter bottle cap leaks, but works fine if you don't have anything else.

***Frame backpacks are the ones for hiking. They are designed to carry heavy loads, and have a lot of space. Your back will hurt a lot if you don't use a frame pack and the pack is full of about 5 gallons. I know mine did.

****I never tried it with this, but it should work **much** better than without it.

*****The backpack can be made without these, but I use them. I won't include instructions on how to add them at this time. Check later.

Procedure

1) Gather Materials. My science teachers always told me to put this as the first one...
2) Unscrew the cap from the bottle top.
3) Put a hole that fits the tubing tight in in the cap of the bottle.
4) Squish the open end of the trash bag together.
5) Push the open end through the bottle top.
6) Screw on the cap, sealing the bag onto the bottle top.
7) Put the tubing in the hole created in Step 3.
8) Put the "bag with a tail" into the backpack and create a hole for the tubing to lead out of, but do'nt let the bag come out of the hole. Make it large enough so that you can switch the tubes without trouble.
9) Cut the ball in half. If you don't have a ball, skip steps 10 and 11, and attach the tube to your soaker with duct tape.
10) Create a hole in the top of the ball that is tight on the tube. Insert the tube in the hole. If nessesary, use glue to make it air-tight.
11) Glue the ball over the soaker's filling cap. Make it air-tight.
12) Make a hole in the 2 litter bottle top that is air-tight on a separate piece of the tubing. Attach the cap to a small piece of the tubing. Don't make a hole if you have a hose attachemnt. But still attach tubing. This is the filling device.

You have sucessfully created a backpack mod. Now onto it's useage...

How to fill

To fill the backpack, take out the tubing from the spot on the backpack, and attach the filling device to it and the hose. Turn on the water. If the bag is full of air, squeeze the air out before doing this.

To fill the soaker, detach the 2 liter bottle top or the hose attachment from the filling device and attatch it to the tube coming from the soaker and the hose. To remove the air from the soaker, while filling pump it out.

More

If there is something in this that I did not cover, then PM me. If you have a idea for this, PM me, too. I already may have done it, but have not included it in this article.
