Sniper Training
By Freakymist
Choosing The Right Soldier For The Job

This soldier should be fast, strong, and sneaky. Stealth is a major issue, so this soldier should be smart enough to wear camouflage at a water battle. Choose this soldier very carefully!

Choosing A Good Sniper's Weapon

A good sniper's weapon has a very good range, but is very light.

These are the only 3 weapons I recommend in order from smallest to largest:

* CPS 2100
* CPS 1200
* CPS 1700

There are some other factors you should consider when looking for a Sniper's weapon:

1) Does it have a range of more than 35 feet?
2) Is it sturdy looking?
3) Does it have a quiet trigger?
4) Does it take a lot of pumps?

A Sniper's Job

This job can be hard. All snipers should be well trained in accuracy. A sniper's job is to sneak up on an enemy and get a least one good hit(*hopefully the first*)then to run back to base.*NOT TO START A WATER BATTLE*.

Clothing

Like most soldiers a Sniper should either wear all black clothes or camouflage.I choose to wear all black because I only snipe at night.

Stealth

This is probably the most important part of being a sniper you have to be sneaky. If your location is found you could be saturated.This is why you should practice in every way possible to be quiet.

Positions

Crouching Position
Laying Down Position

There are 2 positions that I have found useful when sniping: the crouching position and the laying down position. I prefer the crouching position, because it is easier to get up, and run at that position.

When To Stay And When To Run

"In the day, run away, at night, stay and fight" - Dirtjump

During daylight you want to run away after shooting an opponent because it is easier for them to find your location and saturate you. At night it is more dark, so you can hit 3-4 guys before they discover your location.

Wind

While sniping it is important to know which way the wind is blowing. The slightest wind can through off the aim by a foot. I know, a foot is not a lot, but it's enough to miss an enemy, and get saturated.

Colors Of A Sniper's Weapon

You don't want to be found because of the bright colors of your soaker, so I have found 3 solutions to this issue:

* Wrap camo clothe around soaker.
* Wrap soaker in camo duct tape.
* Paint your soaker a dark color.

Scopes & Aiming Devices

A good gun with a good scope can be extremely accurate. Unfortunately some soakers are very hard to add a scope to like my 1700, but my Max-D 6000 is awesome with the scope attached. Laser pointers also work, but it will only work well at night if you have the average one, and can be dangerous

^ The target is the cup on the left.

^ I take aim.
Note: The scope is not really that blurry. I just have a crappy camera.

^ Target saturated.

^ The laying down sniping position.

^ The crouching sniping position.

^ The CPS 1700 is the best gun for sniping, in my opinion.
